Canadian indie pop rockers The Strumbellas formed in Toronto in 2008, centring their toe-tapping blend of folk, alt-country, pop and indie rock around the distinctive rebel howl of bearded frontman Simon Ward and his satisfying songwriting. Mk.Gee (Michael Todd Gordon) is known for his incredible songwriting and unique production style. His signature style, cemented with his brand new album Two Star & the Dream Police', combines plucked electric guitar with echoey raw lo-fi production. His track Are You Looking Up' garnered mass acclaim, making him one to watch on the indie/alternative scene. Besides his solo material, Mk.Gee has worked as a songwriter with Dijon, Omar Apollo, and Kacy Hill.
