Every couple of weeks, Gareth Reynolds and Dave Anthony explore an historical titbit on their podcast The Dollop. They're not interested in history's grand sweeping narratives, rather those stories which you'll struggle to believe are true, featuring some of the greatest weirdos, charlatans and bad-asses that the world has ever seen. Catch them live as the take the Dollop around the country.

Hailing from South Africa and comprising members Shaun Morgan (vocals, guitar), Dale Stewart (bass), and John Humphrey (drums), Seether embraces a brand of heavy metal mostly associated with the post-grunge era of alternative music, complete with crunchy distortion and brooding textures. Now the hard-rocking trio are back on tour with a brand new album, Poison the Parish.

Named after the rural side street where their rehearsal studios where situated, Australian Metalcore quintet Parkway Drive are anything but pedestrian. With a distinctive and furious blend of unclean vocals, brutal metal riffs and unapologetically epic breakdowns, the outfit left their sleepy hometown in their dust, conquering the international scene with five albums

Rise Against still hold firm to the principal that punk should be about something, railing against political inequality and oppressive social forces with blistering riffs and fist-pumping, no-holds-barred sheer force of will. Don't miss them on the road this year on the Mourning in Amerika tour with special guests AFI & Anti-Flag!

Boreta, edIT and Ooah are dusting off their laptops, midi controllers and assorted hardware for their forthcoming international tour to support the hotly anticipated 2018 release of fifth album See Without Eyes. The LA-based trio made a name for themselves as forerunners of the city's hip-hop infused IDM wave in the late 2000s, filling dance floors with their heady blend of heavy break beat grooves, filthy synth bass lines, mega drops and the glitched out sound effects of their namesake.
