The Mountain Goats

August 28, 2019

Despite his pluralised moniker, John Darnielle remains the sole driving force of Californian indie pop rock outfit The Mountain Goats. With an ever-evolving roster of live and recording musicians surrounding him, Darnielle revels in his goth-tinged melancholy, fusing a winning combination of wry insight and black humour in his lyrics (which earned him the accolade of 'America's best non-hip-hop artist' by the New Yorker) with lingering melodic hooks and satisfying song craft. Darnielle brings his spell-binding songwriting to venues across America to support his brand new album In League With Dragons.

Punk rockers Black Flag formed in 1976 by the band's lead Greg Ginn and have since released seven studio albums and two live albums. The band's debut 'Damage,' was a pioneering project and cemented the band as one of the first to make punk music. Blag Flag are currently writing and recording new music, but until then, their tour across America kicks off in Dana Point, California.

Renowned Malian band Tinariwen's expansive world tour hits the USA and Canada in September and October. Hailing from the nomadic Tuareg tribe in the Northern Sahara desert, the Grammy-award winning group's blend of traditional Tuareg music fused with Western rock n' roll instrumentation has earned global acclaim, bringing Tuareg traditions to the attention of Western mainstream audiences.

For the first time in over a decade, effortlessly cool English/French indie heroes Stereolab are back together and back on the road this year. Hailed as one of the most influential bands of the '90s, the girls and guys of Stereolab made their name fusing electronic beats and avant-garde lyrics to catchy '60s-esque pop hooks before moving into a more Velvet Underground-inspired space. But be it easy listening bops or jarring guitar licks, we're sure that this long-awaited jaunt will be one fans won't want to miss!

Now the American singer-songwriter is hitting the road on the American Darkness tour in support of her newest record, Birth of Violence, set to be released September 13.
