Bela Fleck And The Flecktones Poster

Bela Fleck And The Flecktones

May 31, 2019

Groundbreaking banjoist/composer/bandleader Bela Fleck reconvenes with the original Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, the extraordinary initial line-up of his incredible combo. While all manners of genres come into play - from classical and jazz to bluegrass and African music to electric blues and Eastern European folk dances - the result is always an unforgettable performance. Bela et al will be reuniting for a very special two-week only tour this summer - not to be missed!

Formed in 1969, Little Feat are one of the great survivors of American rock music. Having gone through numerous line up changes and breakups, the band are still playing their unmistakable brand of murky blues, country and funk.

The band that creatively blends bluegrass and country music are heading on tour across America. Greensky Bluegrass began making music in 2000 and stood out for their non traditional take on bluegrass, where they fused rock and acoustic influences. Nine albums later, the five piece prepare for an outstanding country wide tour.

Pink Martini are the brain child of Thomas Lauderdale, who in the early 1990's was thinking of running for Mayoral office. But he slowly became frustrated and fascinated by the musical entertainment during political society events. So he formed Pink Martini to address this and make music that appeals to everyone, from liberals to conservatives, all over the world. Over 20 years later, they're still going strong!

John Prine Poster

If there was any justice in the world, John Prine would be a household name. Playing in the Chicago folk scene of the early 70s, Prine was plucked from obscurity by Kris Kristofferson, an endorsement which helped to land him his first recording contract. Bob Dylan is also one of his biggest fans, terming Prine's work "pure Proustian existentialism". He's a singer who trades in life's little details, imbuing everyday existence with a kind of romantic grandeur. Now in his 60s, Prine is still going strong. It may be a while since his last record but he always seems to be on the road. He tends to tour with a very sparse backing band, leaving his words front and centre, just as they should be.
