I am a fan of Diana, have her music, but this performance was, I hate to say it, terrible. Her singing was bad, her stage presence/energy was just as bad, and she did few good piano solos. Her backing band was talented, but we didnt come to see mostly low key improv jazz. I have been to many great concerts over the years, but this was one of the worst I have seen in a long time.

LOOKED AND SOUNDED OUT OF IT
Should be called the Anthony Wilson show as the great guitarist carried the entire show. Kralls voice was weak and her singing uninspired

NOT THE DIANA WE ONCE KNEW
Incredibly disappointed. We saw her many years ago and she was fabulous. Full of life and energy and completely engaged with fans. Tonight? Flat and distant. Totally agree with all the other bad reviews here. We left early along with a steady stream of other obviously equally bummed out fans. We’ve never even thought to leave a live concert early before until… this one.

LACKLUSTER
She must be at the end of a long tour. She could barely speak to the audience in a complete sentence. She's got a great voice and is a fabulous pianist, but the tempo was slow and never got to any kind of vibrancy which she is known for. Her band is very talented and she's lucky to have them.

JULY 2023 PORTLAND OREGON ARLENE SCHNITZER CONCERT HALL
My husband and I were excited to see Diana Krall this past Wednesday night in Portland. However, we sensed something was very wrong straight from the start. It seemed like she didn’t really want to be there. She only sang two songs that were popular, and quite frankly I came to hear her sing even though her band was great they really covered for her most of the evening. We left before it was over. It just got worse and worse, she slurred her words, forgot the lyrics of a couple of tunes, and wasn’t present

SHE NEEDS HELP
My husband and I enjoy her music… hated the show. We were excited to see the July 15, 2023 performance at the beautiful, Fox Oakland theatre. The show started 20 minutes late. I will say, here bandmates are talented. They carried the show. They had plenty of opportunity to showcase their talents, as Ms. Krall openly admitted she couldn’t find the right key, and couldn’t remember the words to the songs. After the repeated solos, Diana introduced the men repeatedly. At times, she didn’t move at all. Her hair covered her face the entire time and when we did see her face, it was clear something wasn’t right. Her words were slurry and her voice was gravely, not the usual sultry sound. Was she drunk? High? On heavy meds? I don’t know. We left after an hour. I actually felt mad. Not only was I asking myself, how she could go on like that, but also, how can those around her allow it? She needs help.

FOX THEATER 7-15-23 DISAPPOINTING
Very disappointing show! Maybe she's having some health issues? Did not seem to know what song was to be played and then seemed to have trouble remembering the intro - several times. Even once started a song then stopped and restarted. Came out for the encore and flipped through several pages of music on top of the piano - "i don't have my glasses I can't see" as if she was trying to pick which song to play?? Theater is beautiful but the sound was not great, at least for her voice. I'm used to her recordings where her voice is very powerful/smooth but it was way off. Looking up recent reviews of other shows seems to say the same thing.
