Contemporary Delights

Ballet West brings together a collection of brilliant works of contemporary ballet, showcasing the forefront of an artform that never stops pushing boundaries. Featured on the program are a fresh, expanded new version of Elis, choreographed by Ballet West's own Vinicius Lima to the music of Brazilian icon Elis Regina, as well as a company premiere of Ulysses Dove's Dancing on the Front Porch of Heaven, which explores loss and love to the music of minimalist master Arvo Part.

Finally, the program closes out with Christopher Bruce's effortlessly cool Rooster, set to a jukebox collection of rock n roll hits by the Rolling Stones. A performance that takes you to the cutting-edge of contemporary ballet, this is a perfect show for ballet aficionados and newcomers alike!
