Family Friendly Ballet

The Glass Slipper is Ballet West's special, extra-family-friendly production of the timeless fairytale Cinderella! In a performance that lasts just over an hour, including an intermission, and a narrator telling the story as you go, this is an excellent introduction to ballet for the younger members of the family. Featuring the younger performers of Ballet West II and the Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy, let the cast sweep you away with this enchanting ballet!

What Is The Story?

One of the most beloved fairytales the world over, Cinderella is the story of a young girl who finds herself playing maid to her wicked Stepmother after her father dies. Overlooked and overworked, her fortunes change when the household receives an invitation to the Royal Ball. Determined to go but with nothing to wear, Cinderella's plight is heard by a Fairy Godmother who transforms her into a glittering lady, letting the adventure truly begin!
