A Man And His Apple
His tale started in his parent's garage in the tech haven that is San Francisco, and now heads to the Salt Lake City with the Utah Opera! Inspired by the life and work of the tech legend, The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs is created by Pulitzer Prize-winning librettist Mark Campbell and composed by Mason Bates. Through a fusion of classical influences and electronic beats, the duo looks back on the life and career of Jobs, complete with world-dominating highs and crushing lows.
What's It About?
The GRAMMY-winning opera The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs begins in Los Altos back in 1965, where Steve Jobs' father Paul gifts him with a workbench for his 10th birthday, naming it as "a fine place to start". A fine place it was indeed, as we see pivotal points in his life that made Jobs the man he came to be, founding a tech empire that changed the entire world.
